Do other people in the world really believe the genocide is over or that conditions have improved? They began starving the North in March last year and then continued to starve the whole Strip for a year and now they are starving the whole Gaza Strip again this March, in Ramadan.

Genocide is an act of collective punishment and neglect of the most essential life sources.

In reality they began committing genocide against the people of Gaza the day that the siege on Gaza was imposed. What we continue to witness since Oct 7th is only the same genocide accelerated which I will never stop repeating.

Not only that, the murder by aircraft has not stopped. israel's fascist death machines are still hovering and threatening and firing and killing people in their tents, in their damaged homes, in cars, at people trying to rebuild...their thirst for Palestinian blood is literally infinite.

Even if the fire stopped, it would still be genocide. There is no such thing as an israeli ceasefire because they practice murder by freezing and starving and medically neglecting and physically and psychologically torturing Palestinians too.

Tonight people of gaza reporting of heavy bombs everywhere and they hear new voices of the bombs

Like Water - Palestinian Artist TAYSIR BATNIJI

109 words meaning water in arabic language. This inventory was established by Mahmoud Darwish in his collection ‘Memory for forgetfulness’ - transcription with water on floor. - Taysir Batniji

“This work follows several performative projects, undertaken in the last few years that evoke notions of memory, erasure, non-being, and destruction/construction or (deconstruction /restitution). Each of these “acted shapes” is the result of obsessional, repetitive, and often useless or absurd gestures. In the Impossible Journey I used a shovel to move a pile of sand, from one side of an imaginary line to the other, to the point of sheer exhaustion. Another work Hannoun is based on cutting and scattering the shavings of about 400 red pencils on the ground, to suggest the appearance of a field of poppies… In Like Water, I write with water, using a brush, for over two hours and within a marked perimeter the 109 Arabic words that signify water and which were cited, according to Ibn Sida, by Mahmoud Darwish in his book “Memory for Forgetfulness.” The result is an unproductive production: when I start writing the second or the third line, the first words are absorbed in the floor’s covering or evaporated until they completely disappear.” (x)

the words from Darwish below, for anyone curious:

i dont think you guys understand how atrocious this decision is in Mahmoud Khalil's case. The judge had ordered the government to present evidence and in turn the evidence was a two page memo that basically said "we dont need evidence." This has devastating effects for anyone coming in affiliated with organizations or political parties that America doesnt like. I dont expect anything less because as a law student the idea of courts being a "check" is laughable and they have enabled the deportation of political dissidents throughout history, but god what a stupid fucking judge

Today, my family was displaced under heavy bombardment after a three-day siege in a tent. They left behind everything: clothes, food, and medicine. Please look at us with compassion. Do something. Participate. Protest. Donate.

We can't buy anything, everything costs 10x now that the fighting is back.

A bag of flour costs $800, if available. Due to the intensity of the war, this story hasn't been covered in the media, so please be our voice. I don't want to die anonymously, please.

Now due to the rain and wind our dilapidated tent collapsed and now my family went to our neighbors tent (22 people in a 4*6 meter tent) I leave you to imagine this tragic situation

Tonight, my little brother nearly swallowed his tongue from the convulsions caused by the terrifying explosion next to us. Luckily, I was awake and saved him, still shaking from the shock.

Can't be sincerely dark without being called edgy, can't be sincerely emotional without being called melodramatic, can't be sincerely silly without being called stupid. They're gonna hate every emotion you put in your art no matter what so make it anyway and be as sincere as you can be
