Today Vice and Mayhem are learning to get into carriers on cue. We’ve been at it for half an hour. Mal doesn’t need this trick because she already loves her carrier, so she’s just giving participation handshakes.
I’m not moving the carriers or closing them, though after a few tries I held the flap shut while they were inside and then gave them another treat when I opened it. It’s a great first step!
The poem is, of course, the Two-Headed Calf by Laura Gilpin. I’m planning on a slab of stained glass to slide into the gap between the mountain layers, with a doubled set of gold stars on it. I may wind up doing multiple “skies” that could be swapped out as desired, just for funsies. I could do a ceramic tile with perforations, maybe, or even a watercolor on heavy paper…

For example, I have this bowl of polished rock orbs. (and one glass ball.) they serve no purpose but everyone who comes into my home picks up at least one of them and just kinda rolls it around in their hands.

I was at ikea and picked up a bumblebee for each cat, which I marinated in the catnip jar. Malice took hers into the cat carrier, which was smart, because Vice and Mayhem started fighting over them.

Nah, but the company that owns tumblr laid off a bunch of staff and the team runnning this blue hellsite is down to 25 people. Allegedly. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but we are, in fact, not an especially profitable webbed site.
To be clear: I don’t think the hellsite is shutting down but there’s some significant social media migration happening on a lot of sites, this one included. And as someone who mostly sells art through connections made on social media, I’m just trying to figure out where the wind is blowing.
