I’m a silly puppy boy with weird kinks and an interest in dark horror fiction! I’m happy to take book and movie recommendations!

I’m also transmasc, genderqueer, bisexual, yadda yadda lots of other microlabels and stuff. I’ve been on T for about 2 years now.

I overall bring a sort of weird, fat, ugly, perverted freak vibe to the world that conservatives don’t particularly like.

No “DNI” but I block freely and for whatever reason I want.

TERFs, transmisogynists, Nazis, Zionists, general queerphobes, and other bigots of their ilk ALWAYS get blocked though.

I don’t care to involve myself in discourse and will probably just block you if you try to get me in the middle of something.

Oh yeah, and if you don’t like the word “queer” then you should probably go elsewhere lol.

I try to stay up-to-date with and educated on current events and societal issues, but I don’t know everything and I’m not perfect. I’m more than happy to listen and help where I can, however.

If you need to ask me to tag something, please feel free! I’ll tag just about anything within reason!

i'd make a joke about "let the HUSBAND giggle under the covers and tell HIS WIFE to put that camera away before dying before HIS WIFE'S story starts" but lets be real he'd still get more fanart

sir do you understand that you are being criticized right now

The best thing about tumblr is you can just make a criticism of a very specific person completely unprompted and then that person will appear as if summoned in your notes to prove your point for you.

The fact that theres so many people who don't know about the "Women in fridges" (also known as the "disposable women") trope despite it having been super commonplace for decades blows my mind.

I wanted to provide specific examples of this (I believe "Happy Death Day" has an offshoot of this trope where its the mom instead of just a wife), but the TvTropes page has so many examples- and those only list examples from wildly popular media- which barely scratches the surface of the whole media scope. I've seen this trope in low budget B-movies. Its everywhere.

What OP is getting at is: Women in fiction are often disregarded because they're "underdeveloped" (which can be and IS often true!), but that excuse can only go so far when fans latch onto equally uninteresting/underdeveloped men. If a lack of character was actually an issue, then why are audiences naturally drawn to male characters who are often equally as poorly written, or sometimes even worse off? Maybe we've all been conditioned to see women as disposable, or "getting in the way of our yaoi ships"

I'm currently in a fandom where the fans have latched onto a background character that shows up once in a single episode and doesn't even have any canon dialogue. This character has more fan art and fics centered around them than most of the other main female characters from the same series. This happens a lot.
