If you’re still regularly using generative ai, chatgpt or midjourney or character.ai or literally whatever the fuck, im personally blaming you when my utility prices start going up.

Why would utility prices go up because of ai?

(I am not defending the usage of generative AI/ChatGPT/Character.ai etc etc i am very much against it - I am just curious as to the correlation between using it and utility price surge please don’t come at me this is a genuine question)

ChatGPT uses so much energy that the US is literally reversing course on coal and gas usage to make up for it. In Santa Clara, for example, data centers used 60% of the ENTIRE CITY’S electricity.

ChatGPT uses 1-3 bottles of water for cooling for every query you put into it. This is FRESH WATER, which is evaporated and eventually mostly returns to the ocean, effectively removing a lot of it from our already dwindling fresh water supply on the planet. It also consumes 17 THOUSAND TIMES more electricity than the average American home.

The AI boom wastes so much electricity that we are very immediately risking US cities having to have rolling blackouts just to keep up with the energy demands, as early as NEXT YEAR

Gen AI’s water usage is projected to hit 6.6 BILLION meters cubed by 2027

More AI use = more data centers = power drain on local cities = gas, electricity, and water utility prices rise because all of our resources are being funneled into a machine that makes garbage

If I could somehow find everyone who ever bullied me and ask them why they targeted me, not a single one would say it was because I was autistic. None of them even knew I was.

Instead they’d say it was because I liked Pokemon too much after it stopped being cool, or my clothes looked ridiculous and I wore the same pair of jeans 3 days a week, or that I was just weird/nerdy/unpopular. In many, many cases, that is what neurodiversity looks like. Not someone with an obvious disability, but someone who’s just weird.

I see so many allistics and neurotypicals on here that claim to be anti-ableism but turn around and make jokes at the expense of people who are eccentric but harmless.

If you’re an allistic that claims to support autistic people, but then you turn around and make fun of the woman wearing a bizarre outfit or the guy who speaks in a monotone or the teenager who carries a teddy bear everywhere, you are hurting autistic people who do those same things.

this is also why even non-diagnosed autistics are punished and abused by society, the bullying isn’t about being explicitly autistic, but rather that society has decided that the traits autistic people exibhit are “abnormal” and therefore worthy of punishment.

My favorite thing about the Fantasy High fandom is that we have all kinda expected that the Bad Kids do NOT know where any of their stuff is.

Like Jawbone will walk into Kristen’s bedroom and see a white button up. And that’s all fine and good, Kristen has some, until you pick it up and see that it is WAY too small for her. And then you see a hoodie that is way too big with oil stains and wonder how long these have been in there without anyone realizing that they aren’t her’s?

Or you will go into Fabian’s bedroom and see that he has a board on his wall straight out of murder mystery with books on religion and prophecies all over the floor. Someone wanted to ask questions but that he picks one of the books up and puts it in his bag and acts like nothing’s wrong.

Or Gorgue will be going through his bag and takes out a calligraphy pen, a container of bullets, and anti anxiety meds. It took everyone in class a minute to remember that he doesn’t use a gun, they still don’t know what the others are his or not

Or Riz will be going through his briefcase and pulls out several stacks of paperwork. Someone in his rogue class went through it and soon realize that a lot of it is not his handwriting. Some of it is half done lyrics in fast writing, some of it is blueprints in what you think is Gnomish but can’t quite tell because it is sloppy, some of it is beautiful Elfish and wizard schoolwork.

Or Adaine will just, pull out car keys, look at them, and put them back in her pocket and pull out the thing she needs. People still don’t know if she drives a car or not and there is an ongoing bet or what car she drives.

Or Fig will walk around school with a jacket on, sometimes it will be her leather jacket, sometimes it will be a different one. Sometimes it would be denim or a varsity jacket, sometimes it will be a gray hoodie that doesn’t fit well or a yellow one.

The only thing the school knows is that they don’t know who owns what and at this point neither do the Bad Kids.
