If Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb was harmony, why does Kashi's Nandi still wait?

For centuries, the Nandi has kept his silent vigil in Kashi, gazing towards the spot where the sanctum once stood, even as generations were taught to call it a fountain. The idea of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb is celebrated as a story of harmony and synthesis. If it truly is a confluence of rivers, why does Nandi still wait for his Shiva?

IRAN-US WAR

Live: Netanyahu says Israel will strike Beirut if Hezbollah attacks continue

US-Israel-Iran War Live Updates: Efforts to uphold peace in the Middle East faced fresh uncertainty after the United States carried out what it described as "self-defense" strikes inside Iran over the weekend, even as backchannel talks continued over extending the existing ceasefire and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. According to US Central Command, the strikes targeted Iranian radar, command and control facilities in response to what it called "aggressive Iranian actions," including the reported downing of a US MQ-1 drone operating over international waters. The escalation prompted a swift response from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which claimed responsibility for striking a US air base allegedly involved in an attack on a telecommunications tower on Sirik Island. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that "a ceasefire between Iran and the US constitutes, without any ambiguity, a comprehensive ceasefire across all fronts, including Lebanon," adding that "any violation of this ceasefire on one front shall be considered a violation of it across all fronts." He also said the US and Israel would bear responsibility for any breach of the truce. Meanwhile, Israel has continued military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran's parliament speaker and lead negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused Washington of violating the ceasefire by maintaining pressure on Iran and failing to prevent Israeli escalation in Lebanon. Separately, Kuwait condemned repeated Iranian attacks after the IRGC targeted a base it said was linked to operations against Sirik Island. Despite the growing tensions, Donald Trump said he remained close to securing a "very good deal" with Iran, although reports indicates the US is seeking tougher terms in ongoing negotiations.
