Customer started yelling at me because I was 1 minute late to open the shop so I banned him from shopping with us and locked the door on him. Play stupid games.
This man had the audacity to come back at the end of the day as I was closing up by the fucking way. Ranting and raving about how he had been mistreated and that no one had even bothered to reply to his complaint email all day
Well I had the UNBRIDLED joy of informing him that not only had I seen his email, which was insanely abusive towards me for the crime of being 1 minute late and not putting up with his shit first thing in the morning, but that I was also the manager who he demanded to speak to, and Iād now also had our IT team block his IP address from being able to contact us or order with us ever again.
I shouldāve been allowed to castrate the man but this will have to do
Okay this got way more notes than I was expecting so I feel like I should add some important context here. Iām not management. Iām not even middle management Iām just some guy that works here. I donāt have the authority to do any of this I just like lying to customers
Block. Everything.
Call your reps, tell them to GET THEIR ASSES ON BOARD.
Midterms are coming up.
@rottenette hello
I don't think we talk enough about what Zachariah actually did to Dean and Sam in 4x17. He changed their memories. That's it. Their abilities, instincts and core personalities are not altered. If they had been, Zachariah's experiment wouldn't have worked. They needed to still be essentially themselves; to choose to perform their heaven-mandated roles despite their different circumstances.
Point is: Zachariah didn't make Dean smart or considerate or less toxic in his masculinity. Or (gasp) maybe a little queer. That's just Dean without John.
Bonus point: Dean isn't the one who fights the simulation. Sam is. Dean, in fact, actively fights to keep the illusion (in which he has stability, a loving family and a job he likes and is good at). He wants his fake life and only gives it up after a LOT of pushing from Sam.
ok but like. space shanties.
thereās a thing that should definitely be a thing in sci-fi.
my brain went straight to the āput him in the airlock ātill heās soberā part of āwhat can you do with a drunken spacerā and i never want to look back from this.
okay you know what I think at least one half of Buckleming deserves more credit as a Dean Understander than I've been giving them.
I'm watching Shut Up, Dr. Phil and there's a joke at the beginning of the episode where Dean makes a Bewitched reference and Sam gives him a classic Confused Judgy Sam Faceā¢ about it and Dean plays it off as only knowing Bewitched because Nicole Kidman was in the remake... but then later in the episode, he makes another Bewitched reference, comparing their situation to "when they switched Darrins," thus revealing that not only has he watched the original Bewitched for non-hot-lady reasons, he's familiar enough with it to have opinions about it.
it's a really good, well-executed example of the way Dean's constructed persona works. the slip of his real interests, the hasty patch-job of throwing some horndog comment out to mask it, then the mask falling all the way off and revealing the dweeb beneath... it's very well done.
as always, I desperately want to know which half of Buckleming was the actual talent, because clearly one of them gets it!!
okay stepping away from Buckleming to talk about this phenomenon coming from another unlikely writing duo: Jenny Klein and Robert Singer
yeah, that's right people: I'm officially at 07.16 and almost done with the Great Chasm of Caslessness that is mid-S7. and once again we have Dean brushing off his familiarity with the nuances of ballet with an appropriately macho excuse: he supposedly watched Black Swan for the lesbian subplot.
but a few minutes later, when the cursed shoes (an object that's implied to only affect those who have a genuine interest in ballet, no less) have latched onto Dean, he makes reference to wanting to put them on and "Prince Siegfried himself into oblivion."
now here's the rub: the Prince character is never actually alluded to by name at any point in Black Swan. I double checked. that's not ballet knowledge Dean could have gleaned just via watching one movie for sexy reasons.
it's yet another fascinating little look into Dean's real nuance and depth. if you take him at his word without looking a little further, you're missing so much of what's actually going on with him. he intentionally uses a pretense at being a sleazy weirdo to keep Sam (and occasionally other people, depending on how safe he feels with them, but Sam is very much the main beneficiary of this behavior) from seeing him as he is. but underneath, what do we find?
well, he always thought he could be a good dancer...
who do you think of when you hear the name āLudwigā?
