Retina disease diagnostic can be time-consuming and demanding for doctors. How can AI help? 👁️🤖 ZEISS CIRRUS PathFinder is a fully integrated AI-based clinical decision-support tool that enables more confident decision-making and accelerates a clinician’s workflow through OCT interpretation assistance. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) makes it possible to visualize the retina and its individual layers in great detail. During image acquisition, ZEISS CIRRUS PathFinder flags areas that may require further imaging and, during review, allows the user to focus on what matters – improving patient care. For more than 20 years, AI solutions from ZEISS Medical Technology have been supporting data-driven patient care – from classic machine learning algorithms to deep learning models. #ZEISS #AI #Health #Innovation

Some stories are not told. They are seen. 📷 On #WorldPhotographyDay we celebrate exactly these stories, seen through the lens of photographer Christian Nørgaard. Across places such as Nepal, Ethiopia or Angola, his images capture quiet and powerful scenes shaped by time, culture and change. Moments where past and future seem to meet. What defines his work is a strong sense of balance and intention. His compositions guide the eye directly to the subject and reveal an extraordinary level of detail with natural and well balanced color. #ZEISS #Cameralenses

Our eyes are amazing but they can’t show us everything. Some of the most fascinating discoveries only become visible through optical tools like microscopes. 🔬 Who remembers looking through a microscope for the first time? The moment curiosity takes over, questions start to form, and you feel like a scientist making your own discoveries. Hands-on experiences spark curiosity, encourage creative thinking, and help develop scientific and problem-solving skills from an early age. Because innovation starts with curiosity and with taking a closer look. Through the ZEISS Promotion Fund, we support STEM education and long-term partnerships with regional educational initiatives. #ZEISS #PromotionFund #STEMEducation #STEM #Dresden

A ZEISS Café in the heart of Tokyo? ☕ The Chiyoda-ku district is not only home to the Imperial Palace and the National Parliament, but also the headquarters of ZEISS Japan. Here, in "Carl's Café" on the 5th floor of the building named after our founding father Carl Zeiss, employees can meet and enjoy a cup of coffee together. What began in 1911 as a joint-stock company evolved in 1961 into Carl Zeiss GmbH. Since then, the site has grown into a hub of ideas and innovations in the areas of spectroscopy, medical technology as well as photography and cinematography. #ZEISS #BehindTheScences #Tokyo #Office #Location

It’s ultraviolet and about 40 times hotter than the surface of the sun. ☀️ So what are we talking about? Extreme ultraviolet light (EUV). To produce EUV light, 60,000 microscopic tin droplets per second are injected into a vacuum chamber. There, pulses from TRUMPF’s high-power laser strike the droplets and ignite a tin plasma. That all happens in the complex lithography systems of ASML. Creating EUV requires truly extreme conditions: the plasma reaches temperatures of nearly 220,000 degrees Celsius, enabling the EUV radiation to be emitted and precisely reflected by our ultra-accurate mirrors. 🌡️ #ZEISS #Technology #Innovation #EUV

Say hi to Carl and Ernst! 👋 Back in 1866, our founder and entrepreneur Carl Zeiss joined forces with physicist Ernst Abbe to place the construction of microscopes on a scientific basis. Their commitment to scientific principles created a new level of innovation. Ernst Abbe’s work laid important foundations of modern optics and gave Carl Zeiss a technological boost. This collaboration sparked a long-term innovative spirit and continues to shape ZEISS today – driving innovation forward, empowering ideas, and creating benefitting solutions. #ZEISS #CarlZeiss #ErnstAbbe #Science #History #Microscopes

Women are still underrepresented in many areas of STEM. That is why creating visibility, access and inspiration for young women matters. 👩🔬 As part of our global A Heart for Science initiative, ZEISS Taiwan gives female students a closer look at science and technology with inspiring role models, personal career stories and hands-on insights into innovation. At the ZEISS Innovation Center in Hsinchu, they connected with women from different scientific and technological fields and experienced how curiosity can grow into real impact. For us at ZEISS, making women in science more visible helps young women build confidence, discover new perspectives and see their own future in STEM. #ZEISS #AHeartForScience #WomeninScience #STEM #Hsinchu
