omg........Pangur got up in the middle of the night to vomit, which freaked me out, so I've been babying her all day (carrying her around, hand feeding her, etc). and she's been acting accordingly helpless and uwu-ing. anyways, I just found the vomit and it's a hairball. she's fine.

esmeralda-anistasia

#I stopped babying her and an hour later she was running around the house chasing a scrap of plastic#she just really likes being treating like a fainting victorian woman and will do anything to play into that

The SAVE Act has passed the house 😓 Don't let the Senate bring it to a vote.

SAVE Act - short list of voter suppression implications. Take quick action: 5calls | resistbot

With a 53-47 majority, Senate Republicans would need Democratic support to overcome the 60-vote threshold to advance the bill to a final vote and ultimately send it to Trump to sign into law.

Ending debate and bringing a bill to a vote is called "cloture." This takes 60 votes in the Senate. Once the bill is brought to a vote, it only takes a simple majority to pass, which Republicans have. So refusing to bring the bill to a vote is our best shot.

If you live in the U.S, your state has two senators. Regardless of your legal status, they represent you. Tell your senators to vote NO on cloture and NO on the SAVE Act. Even if they plan to vote no on the bill itself, a vote for cloture is throwing democracy under the bus and letting the SAVE Act pass.

I'm on my knees... I'm offering fic... I'm holding your hand. We're all spotting you. You got this. 🏋️‍♂️

Our roomba (Dracula) gets his eyes caught on things so husband has removed them while he vacuums. I’m really uncomfortable watching Dracula bumble into stuff with tape patches marking his eyeless sockets while he cleans our house for free. I hate that Husband returns his eyes when he’s finished, accidentally reinforcing a sort of “eyes are for good little workers” message.

I need to glue the styrofoam eyes on better so Dracula can have them all the time. And maybe I’ll feed him a handful of sand just for him as a thank you for all his hard work.

@horrorridden

Husband named him Dracula because:

  • He dashes around the house cleaning, just like canon Dracula
  • He must be invited into rooms
  • He sucks

i think we should bring this back (with some amendments ofc) if we ever needed an "internet etiquette" for the younger generations, now is the moment to remind them. purity culture kills fandom

as well as the three laws of fandom:

Don't Like, Don't Read (DL;DR), Your Kink is not My Kink And That's OK (YKINMKATO) and Ship and Let Ship

NO ONE LIVING hasn't been squicked out by something. There's over 7 billion of us, my delights and disgusts aren't universal. So I move on. Don't like the ship? Move on. Don't like____? Move on.

I am not an exception. Neither are you. I don't like it I move on and shut my gob about it because everyone everywhere is squicked out by something and they need to put the thing down and just…motor.
