Mission Statement
My mission with my artwork is to inspire awe, to stimulate the mind and the creativity in others. To create possibilities and to ask "What If?".
Hi;
My name is Ali Ries and my artistic specialty is Space Art. I also love fractals. I grew up with Star Trek and science fiction that left me wanting to create "strange new worlds and to explore new civilizations". Since I could not be an astronaut, I indulged my love of Science by taking classes in Astronomy and in the Biological Sciences, becoming a nurse. The last decade though has found me learning how to do art where I could finally explore a Universe of my own making. Some people have really like my artwork and have offered me opportunities to have that art show up in movies, TV, book covers and merchandise, in some of my favorite SciFi franchises. I consider myself blessed!! Plus my grand kids think it is cool!
Almost all of my artwork is available for Commercial use, just e-mail me for contract information.

Hello, I wanted to know that if you remembered the photo with ponyo sitting on the sandy ocean floor with legs folded inside white bloomers holding a scallops seashell in red hair bow and blue dress open smile facing left sosuke in yellow shirt and gray shorts on dark gray dolphin far far away facing right underwater in a blue water with a movie title banner in studio ghibli anime style.
all my ponyos are in the past contest gallery section.
Especially this pic?
Hi Ali. Good to find your page. I have been off social media for two years now so I haven't had a chance to talk to you. Your work here is breathtaking.
Hi Ali, its Ken (Jetfreak-7) I was talking with Sean over at Letters4Legacy. I heard he was planning a project which could use some of your wonderful space backgrounds. I don't have the details yet but I look forward to this exchange once Sean gets plans sorted out, thanks.
