Payments Canada has welcomed five new registered payment service providers as members, following legislative changes that opened the system to regulated PSPs. We’re proud to see five fintech companies including our members among the first admitted: Wise, Float, KOHO, Paramount Commerce, and Brim Financial. Canadian regulators and crypto platforms coordinate to disrupt fraud: https://ow.ly/FeOJ50VBIlI Earlier in March, the OSC participated in Operation Avalanche, a coordinated effort led by the BC Securities Commission (BCSC) to combat crypto fraud. This operation brought together securities regulators, police agencies, crypto trading platforms, and blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis to identify compromised wallets on the Ethereum blockchain, notify their owners, and warn the owners of the threat to prevent further losses.
