I have written a novel, and it is called Novalyne.
Over the past two years I have spent whatever spare time I could find creating a project I could call my own, and I finally feel confident sharing my endeavour publicly.
Ever since I was a boy, I've enjoyed reading books, playing videogames, and watching movies. This triad has guided my pursuits in life – I have spent over a decade creating games – and also has been a core part of my hobbies throughout my time on earth. So it made sense to me that I should attempt to write a novel next (a thought which had been in my mind for a very long time).
I honestly thought writing a book would be easy, which is why I attempted it in the first place. Of course, I was wrong, and had I known just how involved the process would be (not just in writing the book, but in eventually getting it into the shelves of bookstores - more on that soon) I might have not even bothered. Sometimes not overthinking things might be the best approach. In any case, I persevered, and the manuscript is now complete.
More information to come.
In the meantime, here's a picture of a nervous me with the finished novel.
Cheerio,
Hector
