ViaSat-3 F3 has entered service across the Asia-Pacific region! 🛰️🌏 More than 1 Tbps of flexible capacity is now available for customers operating across one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets for satellite services. This milestone marks the start of revenue-generating operations for one of the most advanced high throughput communications satellites ever deployed and a significant step forward in Viasat's global, multi-orbit network strategy. Our proprietary beamforming technology enables capacity to be shifted dynamically in real time to wherever demand is highest. Viasat has selected Rocket Lab to build a satellite bus for the United States Space Force's (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) under the Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) program. PTS-G supports USSF's push toward a proliferated constellation of agile, commercially-designed GEO satellites, giving warfighters faster-to-field, anti-jam communications wherever they're operating. Back in May, Viasat Government was awarded a prime contract to deliver one of the first satellites for the PTS-G constellation. Together, Rocket Lab will deliver a GEO configuration of its high-performance Lightning spacecraft platform to host Viasat's dual-band X/Ka-band payload, pairing a proven, vertically integrated spacecraft with Viasat's protected communications technology. 75% of drivers say they'd pay for satellite-connected car services. New global research from Viasat Enterprise and 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) surveyed 1,600+ drivers across 10 countries and the pattern held everywhere: connectivity gaps are common, and drivers are done tolerating them. The numbers: 📵 Most drivers hit a signal dead zone at least 1x a week 🛰️ 75% would pay for satellite-based connectivity to close that gap 🦺 43% want one thing above all else: emergency voice call access, no matter where they are "This research shows drivers are excited about the possibilities of the satellite-connected car," says Andy Kessler, VP, Viasat Enterprise. We’re off to a solid start in fiscal year 2027, with disciplined execution across the portfolio and record momentum in our defense and government satcom businesses. Some highlights 👇 ▶️ Subsequent to quarter end, ViaSat-3 (VS-3) F3 completed reflector and boom deployment and entered its In-Orbit Test phase, with expected service entry over the Asia-Pacific region. VS-3 F2 also completed all deployments and its Bus IOT phase. ▶️ Company-wide awards grew 10% YoY, which contributed to an increase in backlog of 19% compared to prior year.
