^^THIS is the reason capitalism will never sustain itself. The people on top will NEVER concede to equalizing the wealth disparity. They will act as if the wealth disparity is *inevitable* because they are unwilling to allow the laborers to actually accrue any wealth for their labor. They will infinitely increase inflation by jacking up prices so that any wage increases laborers *do* get, will end up right back in the pockets of those CEOs and shareholders in the form of increased profits from the increases in prices.
"just the way business works" is capitalism justifying the exploitation by pretending it's unchangeable. But it is very much a changeable, malleable economic structure.
We built capitalism and we can build something new that better serves to equalize the resource allocation and wealth in the world.

Did you know that Claudia has a big tattoo on her back? It's covered up whenever she wears dresses that has her back exposed. Her make-up artist, Sophie Burton shares the process:
"Every costume of Claudia's that showed her back (which is more than you realise haha) I had to add tattoo cover and prosthetic on! The tattoo cover I used and love the most is @maekupforfilmandtv base 1, then a mix of 00,1 and 2 to get the right tone, then blended the edges and gave depth back to the skin using the hard brush flick technique and Skin Illustrator OG pallette, then applied a custom made prosthetic (made by @charlottevictoriaallen) to give the cover skin texture! Magic! No tattoo!"

This literally describes Eloise. She doesn't want kids whatsoever. Yet the fandom (basically book fans) want her to get straddled with Marina's kids. Even though time and time and time again she has said or indicated she is NOT comfortable with children! So! She does not deserve to just be raising Oliver and Amanda when she doesn't even like kids! And no she won't fall in love with Phillip because of his kids! What type of bullshit thinking is that? She doesn't like kids which would include Oliver and Amanda!
ETA: She respects people who want kids. I mean in S1 she was immature. But morons! She was SEVENTEEN! Like how the fuck are y'all gonna expect her to behave in a rational manner?!

As goofy as the Wuthering Heights wedding dress looks, I do have to roll my eyes at the “brides never wore white before X date” tweet. It wasn’t the default color for weddings because most women just wore their best outfit, but that outfit could be white. It wasn’t a taboo color for weddings in England.
Indeed they just wore their best, most expensive dress. Which could in fact be white.
