Reinsurance plays a part in the recovery; providing non-recourse funding, in a structured way, to help facilitate recovery. Changes in wildfire patterns, together with continued development in high-risk areas, make understanding and managing this evolving risk increasingly important.     We’ve entered into an agreement to acquire S-RM, a global corporate intelligence and cyber security consultancy. S-RM supports clients in 140 countries with intelligence, cyber security, and crisis response services—from cyber risk assessment and incident response to specialist investigations, geopolitical intelligence, and integrity and reputational due diligence. Building on our long-standing partnership, the acquisition will support the expansion of our prevention offering. S-RM is expected to continue serving its global client base as part of AXA XL Risk Advisory, our newly created business unit dedicated to prevention. Scott Gunter, CEO of AXA XL, commented: “The acquisition of S-RM marks an important step in the buildout of AXA XL Risk Advisory and in our continued efforts to go beyond traditional insurance coverage. Clients are looking for data-driven insights and expert guidance to help them anticipate emerging threats, mitigate risk, and respond quickly when events occur. Growing interest in nuclear energy, especially small modular reactors (SMRs), offers a site-flexible, low-carbon solutions.
