Josh Kiff shared thisI want to give a HUGE congratulations to winners at the annual UpGuard awards. My favourite moment was seeing Blake Young win one of our major awards! 4/5 years ago I took my son to a skatepark as he wanted to learn. Blake was a young guy there who not only showed compassion to a kid figuring stuff out but took him under his wing and almost “sold” skateboarding to him. He ended up being his teacher. I asked what he did for a job, he was the guy who had to call and convince people not to cancel their gym membership’s. I asked a few more sales related questions and thought if I could bring him into UpGuard it would be a good fit. He was keen to grow and learn. A few months later we got a spot and in he came. Last night he was honoured with one of our biggest awards. Beloved across the company. My son can also skateboard now! Look around, talent is everywhere. Blake you are a superstar!

Josh Kiff reposted thisJosh Kiff reposted thisSecurity teams are drowning in a sea of noise. The good news? The solution isn't to work harder, but to work smarter. Breach Risk's threat monitoring capabilities use source-aware Transforms to automatically fan out and detect exposures across the open, deep, and dark web, including platforms notoriously difficult to monitor, such as GitHub and Telegram, and ransomware blogs, forums, and illicit marketplaces. By turning signals into a clear, actionable search pattern, we transform raw data into intelligence you can actually use. Our AI-powered system prioritizes urgent threats, provides high-level summaries, and even gives you clear remediation guidance. This is how you move from a reactive security posture to a proactive one. This is how you stop drowning in noise and start preventing breaches. Ready to see what Breach Risk can do for you? Josh Kiff reposted thisJosh Kiff reposted thisShadow AI could be your organization’s greatest threat. What starts as innovation (an employee testing a new AI tool) can quickly become exposure. Unsanctioned apps create data leaks, compliance issues, and an expanded attack surface. With UpGuard User Risk, security teams gain visibility into shadow AI activity, so they can detect and neutralize risks before they escalate into breaches.

I've been fortunate enough to launch and scale SDR teams across multiple regions, work with exceptional people, and watch so many talented individuals grow into new opportunities across the business. A huge thank you to Kaushik Sen, Jackie Ariston, Josh Kiff, Casey Altieri & Mike Baukes for your trust, support, and leadership throughout. To every SDR I've had the privilege of working with over the years, thank you (too many to tag!). Your energy, resilience, and ambition made this journey incredibly rewarding. I'm excited to take everything I've learned into a new challenge - more to follow soon!

Josh Kiff liked thisJosh Kiff liked thisI didn't expect OnlyFans creators to become one of the best early-warning systems for hacked government websites, but here we are. Cybercriminals are hacking into government and university websites and inserting text and links to pirated OnlyFans content. They're targeting these websites because of their domain authority, which makes the compromised pages more likely to rank on the first page when someone searches the name of the OnlyFans creator in Google. When the OnlyFans creators discover this is happening, they file copyright takedowns to remove their stolen content, and those public takedown records point straight back to the compromised sites. By cross-referencing that data, our team surfaced 2,167 hacked government and university domains across 80 countries. Super proud of Greg Pollock and the entire brilliant UpGuard research team for their tremendous work in uncovering this.

“Josh is one of the most inspirational leaders I have ever worked with. I reported to him while working remotely from India. He has a very energetic and consultative style of management. He is always available to carve out account strategies and assisting in getting deals across the finish line. He also created a very strong culture of collaboration within the team. Overall, he is a great sales leader to work with.”

🧭 Patching fails when everything is treated as equally urgent. ASD guidance consistently points to the importance of prioritising vulnerabilities that are exposed and exploitable. You don't need perfect patch coverage. You need: ✔ clear priorities ✔ visibility of exposure ✔ accountability for delays That's effective vulnerability management. DeskDay

Why DeskDay PSA is unlike anything ANZ MSPs have seen? 😄 We all know the drill. Outdated tools. Complex pricing. Features we never use, yet pay for. 😰 Yet here you are: growing MSPs in Australia and New Zealand, protecting tight margins, serving high-expectations SMB clients, and watching tech talent vanish into thin air. Enter DeskDay. It’s no overstuffed, feature‑glutton. It’s a finely tuned PSA, crafted for your reality. 💜 Here’s why we matter: 1. Pricing that doesn't claw into your margins: No hidden integration fees. No minimum seat-based pricing. Just flat, transparent costs that grow with your business. 2. Tools that techs actually use, not ignore: Forget bulky dashboards that feel like admin trenches. DeskDay strips it back: chat-based ticketing, lightweight project boards, smart billing, and Helena AI; a digital ally that drafts responses, flags sentiment, and brings context in real time. 3. Automation and multi-channel built right in: Multi-channel ticketing via Teams, email, mobile, desktop, web: serving customers where they already are. Built-in smart service desk workflow automation. 4. Built to keep techs and businesses from burning out. With Helena handling the mundane, your team does what matters: meaningful troubleshooting. Productivity rises. Burnout drops. 5. Scales smoothly, like your business should. This isn’t enterprise‑bloat masquerading as “scalable.” You roll this out in days, not months. Learn it in hours, not weeks. The sum of it? DeskDay isn’t chasing awards. It’s chasing impact: smarter workflows, protected margins, sane systems, and a PSA that actually respects the way ANZ MSPs work. 😃 If you’re tired of PSAs built for someone else’s world, it’s time to choose one made for ours. Head of Threat Hunting Sydney Marrone sat down with Patrick Gray on this week's Risky Business Media podcast #827 to talk about where agentic threat hunting is headed and how enterprises are actually putting it to use. They dive into some great questions: - What are the real benefits of AI in threat hunting beyond speed and scale? - Is there an upper limit to how much knowledge and context to give an agent? - What's the one thing to remember from the Agentic Threat Hunting Framework? If you've been curious about how the ATHF works in practice, this one's worth a listen. Full episode here: https://risky.biz/RB827/
