Wesfarmers has today released its 2026 Full-year results, reporting a statutory net profit after tax of $2.9 billion for the full year ending 30 June 2026, with underlying NPAT up 8.3 per cent on the prior year. The result reflects the resilience of our businesses and continued strong execution across the Group, with Bunnings Group, Kmart Group and WesCEF leading earnings growth. Our businesses focused on productivity to manage cost pressures while delivering more value, better service and greater convenience, including price drops on thousands of products to support household budgets. Wesfarmers today announced that Rachael McVitty will become Managing Director of Bunnings Group, succeeding Michael Schneider, who has advised his intention to retire from the role in February 2027. Rachael has been with Wesfarmers for more than 17 years, most recently as Bunnings' Chief Customer Officer, and has held senior roles including CFO of Bunnings Group and CEO of Blackwoods. She'll take up the role of Deputy Managing Director from 27 August 2026, ahead of becoming Managing Director on 1 February 2027. Mike leaves Bunnings in excellent shape after a decade of strong growth, having led the business since 2016. Wesfarmers Managing Director Rob Scott said: "Rachael brings proven leadership experience across retail and industrial businesses and strong commercial acumen. Wesfarmers today announced a final investment decision to expand the Mt Holland lithium project in Western Australia alongside joint venture partner SQM International Lithium. The expansion will double spodumene concentrate production to 760,000 tonnes a year, lower unit operating costs and accelerate cash flows. Managing Director Rob Scott said: "Mt Holland is a world-class, integrated lithium business and this expansion improves its position on the cost curve.
