🆕 We’re proud of our Fives ST Corp. team in the USA, who rolled up their sleeves to help put the finishing touches on a new home in Wadsworth, Ohio. During a volunteer day with Habitat for Humanity of Medina County, the team spent the day painting ceilings, sanding walls, and helping prepare the home for the family who will soon call it their own. The team also had the opportunity to meet the future homeowner, a single mother who will soon have a place to call home. Through Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program, she will purchase the home and, in just a few years, officially own it. For our team, the day was about more than painting and sanding. It was an opportunity to see firsthand how volunteering can make a meaningful difference in the life of a local family. 💬“It is a very fulfilling experience for all of us. Giving back to our community is an important part of who we are. We are proud to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission and help a local family. 🆕 Steel Industry | Fives supports Xinyu’s new electrical steel facility We are proud to announce that Xinyu Iron and Steel, part of Baowu Group, has inaugurated a new electrical steel production facility, supported by key process technologies supplied by Fives. The new facility will produce up to 250,000 metric tonnes per year of non-grain oriented electrical steel for high-performance electric motors and other demanding applications. Fives supplied key process equipment, including the thermal section of the Annealing and Coating Line (ACL N4) and DMS 20Hi EcoMill cold rolling technology. The cold rolling mills can process materials down to 0.1 mm and below, with thickness control accuracy of up to ±2μm. These technologies ensure consistent product quality and supports the stringent performance requirements of electric motor manufacturers. “We are proud to have commissioned the mills on schedule, especially the last two, when we had to fine-tune the fourth mill while commissioning the fifth under a tight timeline. The outstanding commitment of everyone involved and the strong collaboration between the assembly and commissioning teams on both sides were key to this success,” says Patrick Baivier, Project Manager at Fives DMS, a Fives subsidiary, specializing in strip processing lines and cold rolling mills. With the inauguration of the new facility, Xinyu is strengthening its position in the market for advanced materials for electric mobility and industrial applications. Sans attendre les commandes fermes pour les EPR2, elle a déjà modernisé son site de Nancy, cœur historique de son activité tuyauterie. À Digulleville, Fives Nordon ACPP a décroché la fabrication de 300 pièces de chaudronnerie pour les EPR2. 🆕 Sugar Industry | Fives to supply complete crystallization station for the new Magdalena plant in Guatemala Fives FCB will supply the complete crystallization station for Magdalena's new sugar plant in Retalhuleu, Guatemala. The scope covers 4 Cail & Fletcher Continuous Vacuum Pans, 1 Cooling Vertical Crystallizer, 1 Massecuite Reheater, 7 Barometric Condensers, 13 SUMO™ pumps and 50 brix measurement probes. At 15,000 TCD, this is one of the largest sugar projects underway in Central America. Magdalena picked Fives to deliver it on a tight schedule and a tight budget. Leveraging Fives' worldwide industrial presence, with facilities dedicated to the sugar industry in France, India, Thailand and China, the equipment has been manufactured and shipped to meet that schedule. The Vertical Crystallizer, the Massecuite Reheater and the Barometric Condensers are already on site in Guatemala. The rest is on its way.
