  • One of the highlights of our year is sharing the Bunnings Community Report. This is an opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact our team has made across Australia and New Zealand.    Over the past financial year, our passionate teams took part in 76,000+ local activities, helping raise and contribute more than $72 million to support communities across our network.    This remarkable effort speaks to the strong local connections and the genuine care our team members bring to everything they do.    A heartfelt thank you to the many community groups and not-for-profit organisations we’ve partnered with and to our team for their ongoing commitment and generosity.    We’re proud to support such meaningful causes and look forward to continuing this important work together in the year ahead.    You can read our 2026 Community Report in full: https://lnkd.in/gHwKvcxi

  • Today, we’ve launched Bunnings Rewards, our first-ever loyalty programme for retail customers in New Zealand. Shaped by customer research and feedback, Bunnings Rewards is designed to reward customers when they shop with us. Members will earn 1 point for every NZ$1 spent on eligible purchases in-store and online and receive $5 to spend in-store for every 500 points earned. Every two months, we will donate a share of $18,000 to three national charities. When shopping in-store, Bunnings Rewards members will receive a token that they can allocate to one of the participating charities. The charity receiving the most tokens will secure the largest share of funding – helping to make a meaningful difference in communities across the country. We're excited to welcome New Zealand customers to Bunnings Rewards and help them get even more value. • Today, Wesfarmers announced its full year results, with Bunnings reporting a 4.1 per cent increase in revenue to $20.4 billion and a 5.1 per cent increase in earnings to $2.46 billion. It was another big year for our team, focusing on what matters most to our customers – the lowest prices, widest range and best experience. We saw growth across both consumer and commercial customers, while continuing to invest in our stores, digital and AI, Marketplace and supply chain to make it easier for customers to get what they need, where and how they need it. We also made progress in how we work, with a strong focus on productivity, technology and making things simpler for our teams and customers. Importantly, we continued to strengthen our contribution to the communities we’re part of, with Bunnings stores across Australia and New Zealand hosting more than 76,000 community activities and raising $72.7 million in community contributions. Safety also remained a key focus, with TRIFR improving from 13.7 to 12.5. A heartfelt thank you to our team and supplier partners for everything behind the result, and to our customers and communities for continuing to put your trust in us. • Today we’re pleased to share that Rachael McVitty will succeed Michael Schneider as Managing Director of Bunnings Group from 1 February 2027, after taking up the role of Deputy Managing Director from today. Rachael brings more than 17 years of experience across Wesfarmers, including senior leadership roles at Bunnings and Blackwoods. In her current role as Chief Customer Officer, she leads store operations and Bunnings’ commercial businesses, with responsibility for more than 50,000 team members across Australia and New Zealand. The planned transition comes at a time of strong momentum for Bunnings. Over the past decade, under Mike’s leadership, we’ve doubled revenue, expanded our offer and transformed how customers shop with us, connecting our stores and digital channels in new ways. Mike has made an enormous contribution to Bunnings over his time as Managing Director, leading the business through a period of significant growth and change while staying focused on what matters most – our customers, our people and our communities. We’re proud of what our team has built, and we’re equally excited about what comes next. As Rachael puts it: “Bunnings is the incredible business it is today because of our people. Our teams work hard every day to earn the trust of the customers and communities we serve, helping Australians and New Zealanders create homes they love, and making it easier for tradies and businesses to get their work done.” Over the coming months, Rachael will spend time listening to our team, customers, suppliers and communities across Australia and New Zealand, while working alongside Mike to ensure a smooth transition. The focus remains the same: lowest prices, widest range and best experience for our customers. Read the full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gGyi9zig

  • This week, we launched Bunnings Safer Places; an initiative designed to help create safer homes, stronger neighbourhoods and more connected communities.   New research has highlighted the important role community connection plays in helping people feel safe, and Australians' willingness to take practical action.   As part of the launch, we're introducing Safer Places grants, proudly co-funded by Bunnings and our supplier partners Arlo, Eufy, Orion, Reolink and Swann. For every eligible security camera or video doorbell sold until February 2027, $2 will go towards funding projects that help improve community safety.   The first round of grants of up to $30,000 for community led initiatives are now open in Victoria. A second round will open nationally later this year.    A big thank you to our supplier partners, Neighbourhood Watch Australasia and Neighbourhood Watch Victoria for helping bring the program to life.   To learn more about Safer Places and the grants program, visit: https://lnkd.in/g8gasFNj

  • Three new 100% electric trucks have officially joined the Bunnings supply chain fleet, marking the first fully electric heavy vehicles to operate within our network.   Recently unveiled at our Dandenong South Distribution Centre in Victoria alongside our long-term supply chain partner Linfox, the electric prime movers will help strengthen our delivery network while supporting our efforts to reduce emissions across our operations.   A big thank you to everyone at Bunnings and Linfox who helped bring this project to life and support another step forward in our supply chain and sustainability journey.

On 4 July, Bunnings stores across Queensland and nine NSW stores came together for Scones for a Cause, supporting Farm Angels, and the important work they do for Aussie farming families. Thanks to the generosity of our customers, team members and volunteers, we raised $100,000, with all funds going directly to Farm Angels. Excitingly, we also set a new Australian Book of Records milestone, selling more than 11,000 scones in a single day.   These funds will help the team to provide practical assistance to farming families through mental health and wellbeing support, care packages, financial assistance and face-to-face visits when it's needed most.   A huge thank you to our team, volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to support the cause and for making a meaningful difference for rural and regional communities across Australia.   To donate directly to Farm Angels, visit: https://lnkd.in/gf34HCuj

During the month of May, our team and customers came together to support FightMND, raising and contributing over $2,5 million throughout the Big Freeze 12 campaign. Funds were raised in store through the sale of beanies, buckets and pet toys, and during our National FightMND sausage sizzle on Saturday 16 May. These proceeds will go straight to FightMND to support research for treatments – daring to do something that will positively shape the future of our fight against the Beast that is MND. We’d like to extend a very grateful thank you to our team and to our customers for their support of this campaign, and for digging deep for this important cause. It’s not too late to donate. This NAIDOC Week, we’re highlighting one of our Indigenous greenlife suppliers, Bush to bowl Pty Ltd. Co-owned by Clarence Bruinsma (Yaegl, mid-north coast NSW) and Adam Byrne (Garigal, Sydney), Bush to Bowl is a 100% Aboriginal-owned nursery offering bushfood and botanicals, while creating space for First Nations people to connect with Country and traditional foodways. In May this year, we launched a range of products in select Bunnings stores across NSW, including Native Redback Ginger and Blue Flax Lily plants. We're proud to support Clarence and Adam, who, through their work, are helping more Australians discover native plants, bushfoods and the culture and history behind them.
