And the winner of the AO3 Top 100 Femslash Ships Tournament: Year 2 is... BEATRICE/AVA!!!

Congratulations to the Avatrice warriors! You guys consistently beat heavy hitters, including being part of the biggest poll this year, the semi-final showdown with Blake/Yang. And unlike with last years winners, you're pretty much guaranteed to still be in the tournament next year which will be very interesting. Condolenscenes to Harlivy for losing in the finals for the second year in a row. Who knows, maybe third time is the charm.

I'm considering doing a losers bracket again this year (a smaller tournament with the ships who were knocked out round 1). My thesis is due in a week so if I do it likely won't be until November, so watch this space to see if I end up doing it!

And that's the end of the semi-finals! What a crazy round! Fuffy's really rallied in the last day or so and were able to make up so many votes they lost by literally only 1 vote, which makes that poll the closest one we've ever had. Also the irony is not lost on me that after multiple rounds of being accused of attempting to sabotage Bumbleby by not using a picture of them kissing, the round when I finally do is the one they lose.

This means that the final match-up will be HARLEY/IVY vs BEATRICE/AVA.

The finals will begin on the 12th of October 12pm ACST and the polls will run for one week.

Propaganda is encouraged, but any harassment or attacks on real people will result in me blocking and reporting you, regardless of whether you intend it to be a joke or not. Please let me know if I've missed any shitty behaviour.

And that's the end of the fifth round! Congratulations to all the winners and condolenses to all the losers. We're now entering the semi-finals! Bumbleby warriors will be glad to know that people finally submitted pictures of the kiss so that will be used as their image from here on out.

Bumbleby Propaganda!

Bumbleby is the personification of the Lovers card. Not just in their physical and romantic attraction, but also in what they have had to sacrifice for their relationship. Blake and Yang have been through so much together, and it shows in the ways their characters have evolved. Blake grows past her avoidant defensive mechanisms because they trigger Yang's abandonment issues. Yang lost first her arm and then Bumbleby (the bike) in the fights against Blake's toxic ex. The journey has been challenging for both of them, but the destination is oh so sweet.

Ten years of Sweet Sweet Slowburn with hints at the possibility that can be found not only in the earliest episodes but also in the lyrics in the trailers.

Multiple traumas were thrown at them and were overcome because they chose each other, time and time again.

They have made plenty of mistakes on their way but they learned from it and grew and eventually got a really beautiful and well made love confession and kiss onscreen.
