A live networking workshop for accomplished women · Thursday, November 12 · Zoom
Your answers to the three questions you’ll be asked at every holiday party
A small, live workshop where you’ll work out your answers to the three questions everyone asks this time of year. Then you’ll practice them with other accomplished women, so the first time you say them out loud isn’t at the party.
You already know what they’re going to ask.
At the company party. At an industry mixer. At your aunt’s dining room table.
You’re going to hear the same 3 questions again and again:
“So, what do you do?”
The one you’ve answered a hundred times and still never quite nail.
“How’s work going?”
The one that’s hardest to answer if you’re quietly looking.
“What’s next for you?”
The one that’s tricky when you haven’t decided yet.
They sound like small talk, so most of us treat them that way. We give the quick version and change the subject.
But those conversations are networking.
If “I know I should be networking more” has been on your mind for a while, you’re in good company. It’s the sentence I hear from clients more than any other.
Most of the women I work with don’t need more events on their calendar, though. They need to be ready for the conversations already in front of them. And with the holidays coming, there will be a lot more of them.
This season, “I should be networking more” can become something you act on.
The next time someone asks what you’re working on, you’ll have an answer you’re proud of.
Here’s what we’ll do together:
-
- Learn a simple framework. I’ll walk you through one approach for answering all three questions that works for any situation.
- Watch it in action. I’ll answer all three questions live, so you can hear how it sounds before you try it.
- Draft your own answers. You’ll get focus time to write your replies right there in the session.
- Practice out loud. We’ll split into small breakout rooms with other accomplished women. The first time you say your answers out loud won’t be at the party.
- Get live feedback. I’m keeping this session small so I can offer personalized feedback on one of your answers.
- Leave ready. You’ll walk out with your answers written down and ready to use.
Satisfied, curious, or ready to make a move
What networking looks like depends on your season
If you’re satisfied where you are, it might mean sharing a goal for the year ahead
If you’re quietly exploring, it might mean mentioning an interest without announcing anything
If you’re ready for something new, it means making a clear ask
Each of these is a choice you can make on purpose, before the conversation ever starts. In the workshop, you’ll choose yours.
You’ll feel at home in this workshop if…
✓ You’re a woman 15 to 30+ years into your career.
✓ “I know I should be networking more” has been on your mind for a while.
✓ You already know the advice. What you haven’t had is the time to put it into words.
✓ You’d rather be ready for the conversations already on your calendar than add more events to it.
✓ You want to feel confident in your response when people ask about your work.
✓ You’re quietly exploring what’s next and want to talk about it without announcing anything.

Hi, I’m Anne.
I am an ICF-ACC certified career coach who has helped more than a hundred (100) professionals navigate inflection points in their careers, including pivots, promotions, negotiations, and fresh starts after a layoff.
My mission is to support and elevate women into positions of influence in their careers and communities. Part of that work is helping you show up with confidence in the conversations already on your calendar.
Most of the women I work with are 15 to 25 years into their careers. They’re smart, accomplished, and busy. I hear ‘I know I should be networking more‘ all the time, and I know how heavy that ‘should‘ can feel. This workshop is my answer to it.

Your Questions, Answered:
I'm not looking for a new job. Is this for me?
Yes. The framework works whether you’re content where you are, quietly exploring, or ready to make a move. You’ll choose the setting that fits you.
I'm quietly looking and don't want anyone to know. Should I still join?
Definitely! That’s welcome here. You’ll decide ahead of time how much you want to share, and you’ll practice saying it before anyone asks.
I don't go to many holiday parties. Will this be relevant?
Absolutely. These three questions come up everywhere: at work, at dinner, with an old friend, at your aunt’s dining table. The holidays just bring more of them.
I'm nervous about practicing in front of strangers. What should I expect?
Totally understandable. The breakout rooms are small, and everyone in them is there for the same reason. It’s a supportive place to say your answers out loud for the first time.
Will there be a recording? What if I can't attend live?
No, there will not be a recording or a replay sent afterwards. I am creating a safe space for women to practice their responses live.
For this reason, there are no refunds for live workshops. Please only register if you plan on attending live on November 12th at 12pm ET.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Bring a pen and paper, and find somewhere quiet where you can both reflect privately and talk with others.
Will this help my college student?
It certainly could. Women in college will find a lot here they can use as they start building their own networks.
The conversations are already coming your way.
Come work out your answers with me, practice them with women who understand, and walk into the season ready.
